Chimney Princess

By the power graced from my work,
I call upon the gods and the goddesses.
Hear ye! Hear ye!
I have my own fairytale to share!

From the village I came
To the palace where I am in.
Bowing down to her royal highness,
A curtsy to his majesty.

In their land, I am Snow White with no seven dwarfs,
Just my little prince, a naughty ward.
Wakes me up by his kiss and gives me apples too.
I am no Aurora, the sleeping beauty,
‘Cause I’m awake till dawn,
Scribbling and fiddling,
Solving some puzzling thoughts.

From my high tower I always look down.
No prince in waiting, neither will I hear
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!”

Cleaning clutters, sweeping litters,
Washing bins and keeping dishes,
Striking pans and tossing fiddles.
“Be my guest, be my guest,” Belle Beauty said.

Singing nursery rhymes
And never the songs I like.
“Let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore!”
The frozen queen Elsa that I am.

Six days in tattered clothes,
Hair always in a whimsy bun.
With the mops and the dusters in each hand,
The mice will be dancing with her tonight.
Later when the clock strikes twelve,
My fairy godmother will come.
With the stroke of her wand,
Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!!!

Tomorrow I will be Cinderella.
