Social and emotional well-being education plays a critical role in promoting awareness, understanding, and support for individuals facing challenges. We provide access to Mental Health First Aid training and educational materials that can equip you with knowledge and skills to support yourself and other migrant workers in need.

Social and emotional health is a fundamental aspect of our overall well-being, impacting our daily lives. If you experience a range of emotions, including loneliness, anxiety, and frustration, you can access our private one-to-one counselling, where we create safe spaces for open dialogue and encourage individuals to share their experiences without fear of judgement.

Our group sharing sessions provide a supportive and cooperative environment where individuals can share their experiences, gain insights, and learn coping strategies from the facilitator and other group members. Sharing experiences, seeking advice, and providing mutual support can alleviate feelings of isolation and foster a sense of belonging.

Practices like yoga combine physical movement with mindfulness and breath control. Through our yoga classes, we can help reduce stress, increase body awareness, and promote relaxation. You can also make friends and form deeper connections with those around you!

Mental health stigma creates fear, shame, and silence, preventing individuals from seeking help and support. Seeking support helps to break down the stigma surrounding mental health. By reaching out for help, you create a culture of acceptance and understanding, encouraging other migrant domestic workers to do the same.

Everyone’s social wellness journey is unique, and seeking support is a personal decision. Your working and living conditions in Hong Kong could also affect your social well-being. If you are struggling with visa, employment, or any other issues, our casework team can advise and assist you. However you are seeking help, we can provide you with valuable support, guidance, and empowerment for good well-being.

As we celebrate World Mental Health Day this October, let’s raise awareness and support ourselves and our community to maintain good mental and physical well-being.

Remember, you are not alone, and your mental and social wellness matters.
