By Melody Nadal Aka Ody Munson
Very first poem I ever wrote after 36 years.
Written during life’s significance and invasion of coronavirus.
During this desperate time, it is not about calling for desperate measures.
I looked at the sky and in the sea; I can see the mirror of horizon.
I whispered my wishes, sending my kisses, so humanity will be pleased.
Lesson learned: if we could turn back time, so we do not rely on a wish to have good values, especially respect.
Do not waste time; manage it promptly.
Laughter, good memories to keep, loved ones to cherish.
The world is in chaos.
I could only wish that you will be over so mother earth will not be somber.
To the gentle breeze, this I whisper.
The waves are my messenger.
Dear God, grant our wish so this pandemic would be over.
